I have a number of different packages from 10 minutes to an hour stage/stand-up shows and close-up magic can run anywhere up to 3 hours depending on you needs.
How much does it cost for a magic show?
As I said I have a number of different stage/stand-up and close-up show packages and no two events are the same. Instead of listing vague range of prices it is best that you get in touch with the details of your event. Then I can recommend one or two options that will work best for you and then I can quote you an exact fee - NO hidden extras!
It is important to know what you have budgeted for entertainment. I want to deliver the best possible show for you and today clients are very cost conscious. Together we can come up with a show to meet your budget and needs.
How far do you travel and do you charge travel fees?
I have performed around Australia and overseas. Most of my shows are within 100km of the Melbourne CBD and I do not charge a travel fee for those shows.
But aren't all magicians the same? Why shouldn't I just keep calling until I find the cheapest entertainer?
If getting the cheapest price is your top priority, you should definitely shop around. There's a difference between "price" and "value" -- someone who puts on a sponge nose, buys a couple magic tricks, and hires themselves out as a clown 1 or 2 times a month will probably not cost very much, and most likely will be worth even less.
On the other hand, inviting a trained, experienced professional to create an unbelievably enjoyable experience you can confidently share with your guests,or family and friends involves a totally different level of value.
Doesn't the term "family shows" really mean "Kids shows"
Unfortunately some performers think so. My magic 'lineage' spans three generations. My mentor and teacher, Card Mondor, was a professional magician and he started as an assistant to the illusionist, The Great Virgil. Card taught me that a good magician can work for a wide range of audiences and be able to adapt to any performing conditions.
My philosophy is that a good family show is sophisticated enough for adults but still fun for kids!

I've been a full time professional magician since 1984, although I've been on stage since I was 9 years old.

Can we meet you before deciding to book your services?
Generally, this is not practical. However, if we both feel this would be beneficial I am only available during the working weekday. I perform in the evening and at weekends.

How far in advance do we need to book?
I can have bookings several months in advance, with weekends being the most popular.
